Sara Duterte to run for VP in 2022 elections

 Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio will join the vice presidential race in the 2022 national elections.

 

The presidential daughter has substituted on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 13) Lyle Fernando Uy of Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD).

Commission on Elections (Comelec) said Atty. Charo Munsayac, an authorized representative, filed their documents.

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio recently joined Lakas-CMD after she withdrew her candidacy for mayor amid speculations that she might run for a national position.

 

Marcos Jr. party takes Sara in

In a resolution released Nov. 13, the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) adopted Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio as their vice presidential candidate.

This is accompanied by her endorsement as running mate of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. – AG- bny
