PH’s first OFW hospital opens on Monday

The country’s first hospital dedicated to overseas Filipino workers (OFW) will start its operations on Monday, May 2.

The 1.5-hectare OFW Hospital located in San Fernando, Pampanga will cater to the medical needs of OFWs and their dependents.

President Rodrigo Duterte led the inauguration of the hospital on Sunday, May 1.

“Their unwavering dedication and perseverance, as well as their sacrifices to provide for their families, make them worthy to be called mga bagong Pilipino,” Duterte said.

“This should be finished on time so that our OFWs and their dependents can fully enjoy the services and privileges offered by this facility,” he added.

The hospital will be fully operational by the end of June.-KC/gb
