PH administers over 18-M doses

The Philippines has recorded a total of over 18 million doses administered to the public under the government’s national vaccination program.

Based on National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 data, a total of 18,174,405 doses have been administered as of July 27, where 11,336,003 were administered as the first dose and 6,838,403 were administered as the second dose.

In today’s (July 28) Laging Handa public briefing, NTF deputy chief implementer and testing czar Sec. Vince Dizon announced that the country reached its highest number of jabs per day so far on Tuesday (July 27) with a total of 659,029.

For the first time po, nalagpasan natin ang target nating 500,000 sa isang araw,” he said.

Dizon assured that maintaining a rate of over 650,000 daily jabs can be done as long as vaccine supplies continuously arrive in the Philippines.

Dizon also said the “principle” of the task force is to give more vaccines to high-risk areas. He also urged the public to get vaccinated.

– jlo
