Padilla, Legarda, Tulfo leading senatorial race

Actor Robin Padilla, former journalist Loren Legarda, and broadcaster Raffy Tulfo are leading in the 2022 senatorial race based on the partial and unofficial tally as of Tuesday evening, May 10.

As of 10:02 p.m., Robin Padilla garnered a total of 26,395,438 votes making him the top choice among senatorial candidates, followed by incumbent House Deputy Speaker Legarda with 23,947,686 votes.

Tulfo got the third spot with 23,130,812, followed by Senator Win Gatchalian with 20,342,860, and Sorsogon Governor Chiz Escudero with 20,015,943.

Former Secretary of Public Works and Highways Mark Villar entered the half of the Magic 12 slate with 19,170,752.

Former Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano is currently ranking seventh with 19,049,368, followed by Senator Migz Zubiri with 18,547,428, “Tesdaman” Senator Joel Villanueva with 18,273,541, and former Senator JV Ejercito with 15,665,553.

In the 11th and 12th places are Senators Risa Hontiveros with 15,249,961 and Jinggoy Estrada with 14,944,662.

The 12 aspirants with the highest number of votes will be joining the 19th Congress of the Philippines. – ag
