Marcos tops OCTA survey; Robredo posts big jump

Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. topped anew the survey conducted by OCTA Research, while Vice President Leni Robredo posted the largest increase among the candidates.

Based on the Tugon ng Masa survey conducted on April 2 to 6, with 1,200 respondents, Marcos recorded 57% preference votes.

Robredo came second with 22% preference votes, higher than the 15% voting preference she recorded in February.

Among geographic areas, Marcos was highest in Balanced Luzon at 66%, followed by Visayas at 56%, Mindanao at 50%, and National Capital Region at 35%.

In terms of socio-economic class, Marcos registered 51% preference in Class ABC, 59% in Class D, and 44% in Class E.

Meanwhile, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Senator Manny Pacquiao came third and fourth, with 9% and 7%, respectively, of the voter preference.

Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson placed fifth with 4%.

The other candidates included in the poll were Ernie Abella with 1%, Faisal Mangondato with 0.1%, Leody de Guzman with 0.1%, and Norberto Gonzales with 0.0001%.

Duterte remains top choice in vice presidential race

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte is still the frontrunner in the vice presidential race, according to the same survey conducted by OCTA Research.

Duterte posted 57% preference votes, followed by Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto with 23%.

At third place is Senator Kiko Pangilinan with 12%, while Willie Ong came fourth with 7%.

The other vice presidential bets included were Lito Atienza with 0.7%, Manny Lopez with 0.1%, Walden Bello with 0.1%, Rizalito David with 0.02%, and Carlos Serapio. – ag
