President Rodrigo Duterte visited on Good Friday (April 15) the victims of Tropical Storm Agaton in Leyte, where he also presided over a situation briefing on the impact of the typhoon.

Before the briefing, Duterte and other government personnel conducted an aerial inspection on the effects of Typhoon Agaton in Baybay City, Leyte.

As of Friday noon, the death toll of Agaton in Baybay City has already reached 101.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported that 137 individuals were killed due to the typhoon as of Friday morning, while 28 others are missing and eight were injured.
A total of 494,607 families or 1,689,436 were affected across nine regions and 30 provinces, including 323,306 who were displaced.
The cost of agricultural damages has been estimated at P6,950,000, while damages to agriculture has ballooned to P186,632,976,31.
So far, 15 municipalities and cities in Region 6, Region 11, and Caraga have declared a state of calamity. AG
