Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairperson Benjamin ‘Benhur’ Abalos Jr. has announced that curfew hours in the National Capital Region (NCR) will be from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. while under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).
This decision was reached after a discussion among the members of the Metro Manila Council comprising the mayors of the 17 cities and municipalities of Metro Manila.
Abalos added that the local chief executives, under the new rules approved by the IATF, have the power to adjust curfew hours in NCR.
Meanwhile, according to the MMDA, “authorized persons outside residence (APOR) are still exempted from the curfew provided they show proof of identification or certificate of employment to authorities.”
This was after Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced earlier today that the Inter-Agency Task Force has placed NCR, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, and Abra under MECQ from April 12 to 30. Also under MECQ for an unspecified period are Quirino and the City of Santiago
